"Something Like Love" is a predominantly pink and orange 24x24" abstract expressionism painting. It's one of my best and was painted during a time where I felt very strongly for someone but didn't want to call it what it was. (love) The bright, passionate bursts of color juxtaposed with an airy atmospheric quality, ephemeral washes and pastels represent the softness, complexity and range of this emotion.
"Danse Macabre" is a 20x20" abstract expressionist painting and is one of my Graveyard Series works, inspired by Neil Gaiman's 'The Graveyard Book'. This book was hugely influential and the series is ongoing. I listen to Neil reading the book when I work on these pieces.
"Follow Your Fire" is an 8x8" abstract acrylic painting and is the sibling of "Felicity" and "(I Am) Unstoppable". These 3 paintings I miraculously managed to complete in two hours in my first live painting competition, Philly Art Wars, at Blick art supply earlier this year.
"Radiate (optimism)" is a 6x6" abstract acrylic painting on wood panel. It was created, along with its 3 siblings, especially for the Rochester Contemporary Art Center's 6x6 Show - The International Small Art Phenomenon. All artwork in this show is available at a very special price.
"To Feel You Near" is a 12x30" original abstract expressionism painting on museum wrapped canvas. Being at their side feels like everything you could ever want or need. It feels like the sky opening up, it feels like everything all at once and never wanting that feeling to end.
"Ascend", 24x24" will be donated to Inliquid's annual benefit and fundraiser, taking place Nov. 2-5th, 2017 in Philadelphia.
This smaller-sized, abstract expressionist painting is on un-stretched canvas. Balance is of particular importance in this piece and has to do with maintaining stability in life.
"Persistence of Memory" is one of my smallest abstract paintings, and also one of my best. It was painted on un-stretched canvas and sold in 2017.
"Base" is an 11x14" abstract acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas. It was painted in 2016.
"Joy" and its sibling, "Lumos" were both sold to Keystone property group in 2017 and currently are hung permanently in Bala Cynwyd.
"Satori" was donated to help fund raise for Street Tails Animal Rescue (STAR) here in Philly.
